The meeting was chaired by Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, and attended by members of the Organizing Committee and the Permanent Task Force. During the meeting, the participants reviewed and finalized the implementation plan for the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2024 (ABU Robocon 2024).

According to the plan, the contest will be held at the Quang Ninh Sports Complex in Dai Yen Ward, Ha Long City, with the main events taking place from August 23rd to August 27th, 2024.
ABU Robocon 2024 will feature 13 teams from 12 countries and territories, with Vietnam being represented by two teams: SKH AUTOMATION and SKH - CK1 from Hung Yen University of Technology and Education.
The international teams participating in ABU Robocon 2024 are expected to arrive in Quang Ninh on August 23rd. The teams will then gather for rehearsals and robot calibration on August 24th. The official competition day is August 25th, when the 13 teams will compete to determine the champion of the 2024 Asia-Pacific Robot Contest. Vietnam Television will broadcast the matches live, and NHK (Japan) will simulcast them on digital platforms.
On August 26th, a workshop and exchange event will be held among the international robot teams to discuss robotics technology. There will also be a seminar involving international broadcasters to discuss the content of ABU Robocon 2025. On the same day, the teams and delegates will visit scenic spots in Quang Ninh. The delegations will leave Quang Ninh on August 27th.
To ensure the competition runs smoothly, from August 19th to August 22nd, specialized teams from Vietnam Television will be involved in tasks such as setting up the competition venue, building the stage, arranging mobile broadcasting vehicles, and other necessary preparations.
Currently, Vietnam Television is assisting the teams with visa applications and confirming the registration information for the delegations, including those from television stations, judges, referees, supporters, and teams.
The Permanent Task Force is working directly with the Secretariat of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) to coordinate preparations and finalize plans for the competition venue, rehearsal area, competition rules, and related materials; including the layout of the competition venue, competition zones, and badge designs.
Vietnam Television is also collaborating with the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee to make thorough arrangements for the teams' accommodation, dining, and sightseeing. Reception plans, logistical support, competition management, content preparation, and promotional activities are also being carefully reviewed to ensure the success of the competition.
