The event is one of the important activities organised under the National Tourism Year 2018 – Ha Long – Quang Ninh.
During the festival, 50 cherry blossom trees and 5,000 flowering cherry branches will be displayed. In addition, the event will feature over 100 yellow ochna flower trees from Yen Tu Pagoda, the cradle of Vietnamese Zen Buddhism.
A wide variety of festive activities will be on show including song and dance performances by Vietnamese and Japanese artists, a show of traditional and modern clothes of the two countries, and a display of agricultural products from localities in the provinces.
The festival has been held in the province for four consecutive years, attracting a large number of enterprises, locals, and visitors.
The annual event contributes to promoting the province’s culture and tourism as well as enhancing cooperation and trade between Vietnam and Japan.
