The bridge project, at a cost of 2,100 billion VND (91.8 million USD), spans a total length of 4.2 kilometres, including a 3.4-kilometre long approach road.
The bridge features six motor lanes as well as pavements, observatory decks and flowerpots to make it a sight-seeing destination for local residents and tourists.
Love Bridge will facilitate movement between the two sides of Cua Luc Bay and link industrial parks and expressways in the northern area of Ha Long City.
The six-lane Ha Long-Cam Pha coastal road has a total length of 18.7 kilometres and was built at a cost of 2,300 billion VND (100.6 million USD), financed by the provincial budget.
The highlight of the project is a mountain tunnel with a total length of 235 metres.
The road is designed to expand the urban and tourism development space of Quang Ninh Province’s two economic centres, Ha Long and Cam Pha.
Quang Ninh Party Secretary Nguyen Xuan Ky said these transport projects will drive socio-economic development of the province and the region as well as make attractive and unique landscape in Quang Ninh.
