As part of the national coastal road project across Vietnam, the new Cua Dai Bridge will help connect Hoi An city with coastal regions in Quang Nam Province.
The 155 million USD Cua Dai Bridge is one of the 37 projects in the coastal population arrangement and disaster mitigation project being carried out in Quang Nam.
18 km of the road leading to Cua Dai Bridge is being completed to be ready for use by the beginning of next year. Just like other residents living in poor coastal regions, despite being affected, Thao believes that the bridge will change her life so she and her neighbours have fully supported the project.
Once completed, Cua Dai Bridge will help reduce traffic jams along Highway 1A, helping shorten travel times. The bridge will connect Danang, Hoi An, Tam Ky and the Dung Quat Economic Zone in Quang Ngai Province.
Quang Nam is planning to use 70 kilometres of coastline and 20,000 hectares of land to build new residential areas. More than half a million of the province’s coastal population will benefit from the project.
