During an official visit to Cambodia, Colonel General Lương Cường, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the General Political Department of the People's Army of Vietnam attended a meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Hunsen as well as with Cambodian military leaders.
At the meetings, Prime Minister Hun Xen and the Cambodian military leaders asserted that Cambodia has always attached great importance to preserving and deepening the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam.
Also at the meetings, the two sides agreed to continue strengthening defense cooperation between the two countries and said that this continues to be one of the key pillars in the two countries' relationship.
