VTV.vn - Since its launch in October 2021, the ‘Noi Vong Tay Thuong’ (The Circle of Love) programme has provided financial support for more than 1,700 children who became orphaned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The figure was announced at a meeting with representatives of the programme’s beneficiaries in Hanoi on May 30.

Launched by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the programme aims to mobilise organisations, businesses and individuals to join hands in taking care of and supporting children who have been orphaned due to the COVID-19 pandemic in a sustainable manner such that they can overcome difficulties and stabilise their lives.

Under the programme, students who lost their parents due to COVID-19 will receive finances of 500,000 VND to 2 million VND per month until they are 18 years old.

At the meeting, children who have been sponsored by the programme shared about their pain in losing their loved ones due to the COVID-19 pandemic as well as their efforts to overcome the difficult situation and follow their dreams.
