Prime Minister receives US Secretary of the Interior
VTV.vn - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung met with US Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell, who is on a working visit in Hanoi on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Dung highlighted that Vietnam wants to push its comprehensive partnership with the United States to new heights, boosting political relations as well as promoting cooperation in economics, trade, investment and tourism. The state leader went on to propose that the two sides continue efforts to seal the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement. Other fields of further potential for cooperation include education, science, national security, the environment as well as cultural exchanges. Resolving the consequences of the American War in Vietnam including the clearance of unexploded ordnance and supporting those affected by Agent Orange dioxin are issues in which the state leader has asked for full support from the US. 

Interior Secretary Jewell noted that 2015 was a 20-year milestone in Vietnamese-US ties. She stressed that the US will continue to co-operate with Vietnam in different fields, support the nation in resolving the consequences of its war in Vietnam and future, sustainable development. During her Vietnam visit, Jewell is expected to meet with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
