Primary schools reach 92% on-site attendance rate

VTV.vn - From Wednesday, April 6th, about one million students in grades 1 to 6 in 30 districts of Hanoi will return to school.

According to Hanoi’s Department of Education and Training, more than 92% of primary school students in Hanoi went to school on Wednesday, the first day schools in the capital resumed on-site learning after almost a year of suspension due to the pandemic.

Online classes are still being held for students who are F0 or F1 cases, or for those who cannot return to school for different reasons. However, schools have delayed reopening their day-boarding services to next week, in addition to resuming full-day schedules.

From Wednesday, April 6th, about one million students in grades 1 to 6 in 30 districts of Hanoi will return to school.

School lessons are organized according to schools' plans and the consent of students' parents. Over the past two days, the Department of Education and Training has surveyed the parents of students in grades 1-6 about sending their children back to school.

According to the results, more than 75% agreed, with many districts having a consensus rate of over 90%.

To reopen, schools must meet safety requirements on the prevention and control of Covid-19 according to the interdisciplinary guidance of the Department of Health, Department of Education and Training.
