Upon welcoming Ms. Taylor, Mr. Pham Viet Tien briefed her with an overview on VTV’s milestones and development. Mr. Pham Viet Tien also added that apart from news and current affairs programs, VTV always pays special attention to developentertainment and musical programs on its channels, particularly on VTV3 (Entertainment channel), VTV6 (Youth oriented channel). Many MVs and musical shows, fit with different demand and taste of particular type of the audiences, are also allocated in other channels’ on air timeslot as well.
In addition to that, VTV is very keen on US licensed music programs, cause a lot of them are enjoyable and well-attended by the Vietnamese viewers, namely: The Voice, Vietnam Idol and X-factor.
VTV is also an active host of numerous international large-scaled music shows such as ABU TV Song Festival in Hanoi in 2013 and upcoming Asean Children Festival, Mr. Pham Viet Tienadded.
Being the world largest organization in record and music industry, realizing that the Vietnam market is still fresh, Ms.Tess Taylor looks forward to having a tight cooperation between NARIP and VTV, to bring Vietnamese viewers more interesting, special licensed music programs. Further to that, Ms. Taylor also recommended some cooperation methods in term of music and communication, which have been very successful in America, Germany and many Asian countries, such asSingapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
Mr. Pham Viet Tien expressedhis gratitude to Ms.Tess Taylor for her recommendation and reaffirmed VTV’s willingness to cooperate with its partners for production or acquisition of qualified music programs, suitable with Vietnamese traditions and values for better serving the audiences.
