“Vietnam and Germany hold enormous opportunities for bilateral economic cooperation, particularly in the fields of infrastructure, high technology, processing, energy, and the environment,” President Truong Tan Sang said at a business forum in Frankfurt, Germany on November 26. The forum drew the attendance of over 30 Vietnamese businesses and nearly one hundred German firms.
He stressed that the more than 125,000 Vietnamese living in Germany and 100,000 Vietnamese German speakers are a firm foundation for both countries to further develop economic, cultural, and social cooperation.
President Truong Tan Sang also highlighted Vietnam’s major achievements over 30 years of “doi moi” reform, and confirmed that the Vietnamese government would further improve its investment climate to enable foreign investors, including those from Germany, to do long-term business in Vietnam.
