Power supply faces difficulties due to hot weather

According to the Vietnam Electricity Group, in April and early May, prolonged intense heat on a large scale caused electricity consumption to increase.

Meanwhile, the hydrological situation in hydropower reservoirs has seen unfavourable developments.

As of the beginning of this month, 10 hydroelectric reservoirs had reached dead pool levels. This puts pressure on the system's ability to meet people's electricity needs from now until August.
