The conference focuses on how to maximise the use of solar power in Vietnam, as Vietnam has from 1700 to 2500 hours of sunlight per year, a significant number compared to the global average. It also has solar irradiance of about 5 kilowatt hour per square kilometre per day.
At the event, participants also voiced their opinions on attracting private investment in solar power, and contributed to the policies to develop solar power in Vietnam, related to infrastructure and electricity price.
