PMs look to boost Vietnam-Japan partnership
VTV.vn - On Monday, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Japanese counterpart Suga Yoshihide discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of shared concern over the phone.

The Vietnamese Prime Minister suggested that Japan support Viet Nam in developing hard and soft infrastructure in fields such as transport, environment, and digital transformation; increasing access to COVID-19 vaccines, including technology transfer; promoting Japanese investments in the diversification of supply chain, and development of digital economy and digital society; and increasing the reception of Vietnamese trainees in Japan.

The Japanese Prime Minister reaffirmed that Japan attaches importance to its relationship with Viet Nam and pledged to continue support for Viet Nam's infrastructure development, especially in transport, energy, environment, and space technology.

He stressed that Japan will provide support and collaborate with Viet Nam to ensure the necessary amount of COVID-19 vaccines.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international issues of shared concern, including the East Sea issue, and committed to continue close coordination at multilateral forums, particularly at the UN and ASEAN.
