Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has issued a dispatch asking ministries, agencies and localities to continue in the prevention of and fight against the COVID-19 epidemic in order to firmly maintain the achievements obtained in the epidemic fight and control, creating a basis on which to promote the activities of economic recovery and development, and protection of the people's health.
Accordingly, the Prime Minister requested that ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities continue to strictly implement epidemic preventive measures in accordance with the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister and the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
It is necessary to proactively prepare scenarios and ensure facilities and human resources to meet epidemic preventive requirements; and to regularly organise drills, training in measures for response to situations that may occur.
Each agency, unit and organisation must have a specific plan and regularly review, inspect, and evaluate safety levels according to the criteria set by the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health was asked to review and complete regulations and guidelines on epidemic prevention in socio-economic activities, enhance the responsibilities of each agency, unit, and authorised person in implementing preventive measures, especially for health facilities and immigration management when reopening international commercial routes.
Chairmen of People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities have been asked to proactively apply appropriate measures to meet preventive requirements, while at the same time avoiding negative effects on production, business and people's lives.
The reopening of international commercial routes must ensure safety. All immigrants are required to make appropriate medical declarations; complete testing, quarantine, medical supervision; and carry out measures as prescribed.
