The Vietnamese leader met with president of the Russian Communist Party Zyuganov on Monday. The Russian Communist Party leader congratulated the Communist Party of Vietnam on the success of the 12th Party Congress. He suggested the two parties share information and experience in party work.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said Vietnam always keep in mind the sentiment and valuable support of Russian communists and people during Vietnam’s past struggle and into today. He said Vietnam was always keen to enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc continued his meeting with chairman of Russia’s State Duma Sergei Naryshkin. PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the two parliaments to ensure the effect and enforceability of the international treaties that both Vietnam and Russia have participated in, including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
The two leaders voiced delight at the close co-ordination between Vietnam’s National Assembly and Russia’s Federal Assembly, which celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of ties this year. They applauded the two parliaments for their frequent meetings and sharing of information and experience, which have played a role in the growth in their respective nations.
