According to Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People’s Committee Lu Quang Ngoi, the locality has visited and presented pre-Tet gifts worth over VND7 billion to more than 23,500 revolutionary contributors.
Addressing the event, PM Phuc applauded Vinh Long province’s comprehensive socio-economic achievements, as well as the local authorities’ effort to care for workers and needy people.
He asked the provincial authorities to attach greater care to improving the living conditions of workers at industrial parks in order to encourage further productivity and boost businesses’ development.
At the programme, the Government leader presented gifts to destitute households and workers in Vinh Long province, wishing them a joyful and happy Tet festival.
Earlier on the same day, PM Phuc paid homage to late Chairman of the Council of Ministers Pham Hung (1912-1988), an exemplary communist soldier and an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh.
The PM also offered incense to late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet (1922-2008), a great leader and an outstanding son of Vinh Long province.
