PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his belief that in any position, the ambassador would continue contributing to the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
While affirming Vietnam’s determination to further expand bilateral special ties, the PM suggested that the two nations continue exchanging visits at all levels, while maintaining and promoting the efficiency of cooperation mechanisms through all channels.
Vietnam is willing to share experience in socio-economic development with Cuba, especially in building the socialist-oriented market economy, the PM stressed, urging Cuba to create optimal conditions for Vietnamese enterprises.
For his part, Ambassador Lopez Diaz said that the Government and people of Cuba always want to learn from Vietnam’s experience in socio-economic development, as Cuba is in the process of modernising its economy.
The diplomat suggested that the Vietnamese PM and Government encourage more businesses to invest in Cuba.
He noted that Cuba is promoting medical cooperation with Vietnam, including sending Cuban doctors to work in Vietnam and supplying pharmaceutical products for the Vietnamese market.
According to the ambassador, Cuba and Vietnam also hold great potentials for stronger cooperation in tourism.
The diplomat took this occasion to thank the Vietnamese government, ministries, agencies and localities for supporting him during his tenure in the country and promised to continue working as a bridge to enhance the solidarity and traditional friendship between the two countries in the future.
