This is the first time the two PMs have attended a lunar new year event together in Laos. Lao PM Thongloun Sisoulith wished the Vietnamese PM and Vietnamese people a happy and prosperous Lunar New Year.
PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed that the Vietnamese community in Laos plays an important role in connecting the two countries and hoped that they will continue their work in promoting bilateral co-operation.
