PM attends Lunar New Year celebration in Laos

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a Lunar New Year celebration ceremony with Lao PM Thongloun Sisoulith, his wife as well as over 1,000 members of the Vietnamese community in Laos and North Eastern Thailand as part of his continuing activities in Laos.

This is the first time the two PMs have attended a lunar new year event together in Laos. Lao PM Thongloun Sisoulith wished the Vietnamese PM and Vietnamese people a happy and prosperous Lunar New Year.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed that the Vietnamese community in Laos plays an important role in connecting the two countries and hoped that they will continue their work in promoting bilateral co-operation.
