Praising the drastic participation of the whole political system and the consensus, support and sharing of the people and businesses in the fight against the epidemic in such localities, PM Chinh said that the situation is still complicated, asking to put people's lives and health first by stepping up social distancing and measures to prevent and control the epidemic.
The PM asked local authorities to explain, persuade and guide people not to go out, to isolate themselves from each other, and to separate house from house and commune/ward from commune/ward during the social distancing period.
He also demanded the highest support in human resources, medical materials and other necessary forces from the central and local governments for Ho Chi Minh City and the three provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An in order to tighten discipline in the implementation of strengthened social distancing, thus ensuring that the goal of disease prevention and control is achieved as set out in the Government’s Resolution No. 86/NQ-CP dated August 6, 2021.
He asked for health services to be brought to the people while classifying infection cases (F0s) right at local levels to ensure appropriate and effective support, care and management, while providing timely food and essential services to people and families in areas where social distancing is strengthened, especially for weak and vulnerable groups.
The PM also urged for mass COVID-19 testing, testing the whole of Ho Chi Minh City in particular during the social distancing period, to detect F0s as soon as possible and promptly prevent the spread of the disease, with the highest priority given to allocating vaccines to Ho Chi Minh City for a free, timely, safe and effective vaccination campaign.
Communication should be promoted to guide and encourage people to know, understand, trust and voluntarily strengthen social distancing and epidemic prevention and control measures, while resolutely fighting and refuting false and malicious information.
The government leader also required the concerned ministries, agencies, units and localities under their specific functions and authorities to actively develop and implement specific and feasible plans to coordinate support for Ho Chi Minh City and the three provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An strictly and effectively implement social distancing and epidemic prevention and control measures.
