Phu Tho sets its sights on a smart urban future

The Phu Tho provincial people's committee has signed a memorandum of understanding with Viettel Military Telecommunications Corporation regarding this matter. The two sides have agreed on cooperation in four prioritized fields, including Health, Education and Training, Public Administration and Tourism. Focus shall be placed on promoting tourism to Phu Tho as a destination for festivals. Within the health sector, new technologies such as health e-books and hospital management software will be developed. Viettel will also assist Phu Tho in developing and laying the groundwork for IT enterprises, as well as attracting investment into this field. It is expected that in the second quarter of this year, Phu Tho will see the introduction of a number of new smart city applications.
