VTV.vn - The northern province of Phu Tho held a ceremony on September 24 to send off 52 medical workers to Binh Duong to help the southern province in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the ninth time Phu Tho has sent its medical workers to pandemic-hit localities. This delegation of 52 medical workers will replace medical workers who have been working in Binh Duong Province for weeks.

During outbreaks of the pandemic, Phu Tho has sent nine delegations with a total of 886 medical workers and technicians to pandemic-hit localities in Quang Nam, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong to assist them in combating the pandemic.

*On September 24, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Lang Son Province announced that it has received over VND22.7 billion both in cash and in kind to contribute to the COVID-19 prevention and control fund.

Of the total, nearly VND3.5 billion was sent to Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to support the localities in fighting the pandemic .

*The Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Youth Union of Long An Province will present 4,200 security bags worth nearly VND2 billion to frontline forces and local workers inthe districts of Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Thu Thua, Tan Tru, Can Giuoc, and Can Duoc as well as Tan An City until September 29.

Security bags will be provided for 2,200 medical workers, armed forces, and volunteers who are working at field hospitals and concentrated quarantine facilities.

Meanwhile, another 2,000 security bags will be handed over to workers who lost their jobs, needy households and needy students.
