However, this year due to the effects of the COVID19 pandemic, the amount of blood available for emergencies and treatment is severely lacking, and as a result, a lot of blood donation programs have been delayed.
At the Central Military Hospital 108, to mark this occasion, the hospital has launched the blood donation movement, with the participation of doctors in the hospital as well as citizens. The blood donors are divided into small groups to ensure safe distances between each person.
Blood donors also wear masks and comply with other safety guidance from the Ministry of Health. There have been nearly 700 units registering to participate in the blood donation campaign. So far, the hospital has received nearly 200 units of blood.
