Party propose Da Nang secretary punishment

The announcement was released after the 18th meeting of the Central Inspection Committee in Hanoi on Friday.

Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and chairman of the municipal people's council Nguyen Xuan Anh has been found to hold the main responsibility for multiple violations by the Party Committee's Standing Board during the 2015-2020 tenure.

His actions caused division and affected the solidarity and unity in the Standing Board of the Party Committee. Meanwhile, Vice Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee and chairman of the municipal people's committee Huynh Duc Tho also shouldered the blame for violations committed by the Party Committee's Standing Board.

Tho was also held accountable for violations in land and urban management. The Party Central Committee's Inspection Commission concluded that violations by the Da Nang Party Committee's Standing Board, Nguyen Xuan Anh and Huynh Duc Tho are so serious that disciplinary actions will be applied.
