VTV.vn - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan sent sincere wishes from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) to the Communist Party of India (CPI) while meeting with CPI General Secretary Sudhakar Reddy in New Delhi on December 10.

She said the CPI has remained steadfast in the Marxism-Leninism and continued to join the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and left-wing and other progressive forces in protecting rights and interests of the poor, ethnics, the working class and labourers in India.
She voiced her belief that under the leadership of General Secretary Sudhakar Reddy, the CPI will successfully realise the resolution of its 22nd congress and substantially help to build a peaceful, independent and progressive India with a deserving stature in the region and the world.
The CPV is working hard to implement the resolution of its 12th national congress, Ngan said, noting that aside from major accomplishments during three decades of reforms, the CPV has also received many lessons and experience. It will press ahead with tackling difficulties and shortcomings and devising measures to clean up itself so as to ensure a pure and strong Party.
Briefing her host on the outcomes of her talks and meetings with India’s parliamentary leaders and Prime Minister, she expressed her delight at flourishing relations between the two countries, asking the CPI to continue supporting bilateral ties.
The relationship between the CPV and the CPI is close-knit connections based on fundamental principles of the Marxism and Leninism, as well as common targets and ideals. Their strong ties have continually strengthened in recent years, she noted.
Appreciating the CPI’s support to the Indian Government’s policy of boosting multifaceted links with Vietnam, the Chairwoman highlighted the two Parties’ recent delegation exchanges which helped enhance their relations, along with the unity and effectiveness of international communist and workers’ movements.
For his part, Sudhakar Reddy lauded Vietnam’s socio-economic attainments, reiterating that the CPI, other political parties, and the Indian Government follow a consistent policy of boosting cooperation with Vietnam.
He pledged that his Party will exert all efforts to intensify the friendship between the two Parties and peoples, thereby developing Indian-Vietnamese relations in line with the spirit of the comprehensive strategic partnership.
The same day, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan also met with President of the Indian National Congress party Sonia Gandhi.
She asserted that the CPV places importance to cementing and developing its ties with the Indian National Congress party and highly values its constructive contributions to the multi-dimensional cooperation between the two countries.
She expected that with its broad influence, the Indian National Congress party and other political parties in India continue backing the promotion of cooperation between India and Vietnam.
