At the meeting, Le Thanh Liem, vice chair of the Committee noted that Vietnam and Russia already have a sound traditional relationship upon which to broaden trade relations in a wide array of spheres.
In reference to the two localities’ potential, Kursk deputy governor Krivolapov Aleksandr Nikolacvich said Russian localities, including Kursk, have plans to step up cooperation with the City.
He suggested Kursk and HCM City support each other in developing such spheres as industrial and hi-tech parks and mechanics. Kursk, which is also strong at producing energy and electricity equipment, can also satisfy the demand of manufacturing, processing and construction companies in the City.
Agriculture and food product businesses also want to distribute their goods in retail chains in the City, he noted, adding that his province’s administration wishes to boost connections with HCM City through tourism, youth exchanges and education.
