Speaking at the event, Pham Thi Kim Yen, Minister Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in France, expressed her emotion at the noble gesture of the "Association of talented people for Vietnamese orphans" for their support for disadvantaged children in Vietnam.
She affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in France always backs and creates the most favourable conditions for the association to spread the good humanistic values through meaningful programmes towards Vietnam.
This is the first chamber music night organised by the association. The event was initiated by Susan Tran, a French-Vietnamese businesswoman, with the participation of well-known French and Vietnamese artists like Eric Zorgniotti, Glen Roussel, Serge Hoffmann, Alain Hoang Vu, and others.
Susan Tran hoped to expand activities to assist disadvantaged children with the support of Vietnamese Government agencies at home and abroad.
Susan Tran shared that the "Association of talented people for Vietnamese orphans" was established with motivation from her own life, as an orphan who grew up in an orphanage in France since she was 6 years old. Therefore, she understood the miserable life of an orphan, and it was this hardship of life that motivated her to take actions in support of orphans.
