The group was led by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong.
In Phu Cuong Commune, Tan Lac District, Hoa Binh Province, a landslide buried 6 houses and 18 people in October 2017. Officials visited and brought presents to 4 families in the area.
They also gave out 200 presents to help locals prepare for the coming Lunar New Year. The officials also visited Khanh Hoa Province, which was severely damaged by Typhoon Damrey. They worked with the Vietnamese Red Cross and gave nearly 90,000 US dollars to 135 local families.
In both provinces, officials insisted that local governments continue working towards overcoming the consequences caused by natural disasters.
