The event was hosted by the National Assembly's Economics Committee and the Institute of Developing Economy (IDE). During the conference, experts mentioned various obstacles that the Vietnamese economy has been facing.
They included policy limitations, low productivity, management and technology. These problems are hindering the sustainable development of Vietnamese enterprises as well as the country's economy.
Recent renovations by the government have been highly appreciated by businesses. However, some problems regarding taxes, administrative procedures and outdated laws remain unsolved.
Opinions on the amended Competition Law for the National Assembly's May 2018 meeting were also collected at the conference.
