Over 500 buddhist monks, followers register for blood, organ donation

The blood and organ donation registration festival was jointly held by the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Vietnam Buddhist Academy and the Vietnam National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.

At the event, Deputy Prime Minister Trương Hòa Bình suggested relevant organisations maintain and roll out the program in all Buddhist facilities nationwide, and emphasized the importance of stepping up promotion in order to raise public awareness on blood and organ donation.
