VTV.vn - The Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union coordinated with the Vietnam Musicians' Association and the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations to present the awards for the Songwriting Contest praising Vietnamese Women and Mothers in Hanoi on October 7.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thu Hien emphasised that the contest is not only an artistic playground but also a meaningful activity, an opportunity for the whole society to express gratitude for the profound and comprehensive cultural values that Vietnamese women bring in today's era.

The Songwriting Contest praising Vietnamese Women and Mothers was launched in January 2024. After seven months, the contest’s Organising Committee received 611 works from 438 authors, including 565 works praising women and Vietnamese mothers and 46 works about godmothers.

Many professional and non-professional musicians participated in the contest, including veteran musicians, People's Artists, People's Army musicians, People's Police musicians, young musicians, and young rappers.
