The oldest artist to receive a title at the ceremony is 92 years old. Thirteen late artists were also honored with noble titles.
Addressing the event, Prime Minister Phuc stressed that the titles were awarded to show that the Party and State recognize revolutionary artists for their patriotism and dedication to their work, as well as their talent and contributions to the development of the country's revolutionary arts.
He called on Vietnamese artists to continue nurturing their talent and developing their morals in order to produce more high-quality artwork, and to develop the Vietnamese culture.
