During the coming 3 weeks in Hue, 120 patients will be provided with vision screening, diagnosis, and treatment guidelines, while some 70 patients will receive surgery and treatment to regain their eyesight in a project of the Orbis flying eye hospital. The project will train doctors of the Hue eye hospital / to maintain and operate modern ophthalmology equipment. Orbis signed an agreement for a $1 million project with Vietjet Air, called "Bright Eyes for Vietnamese".
The project aims to support more than 2 million patients suffering from eye diseases / by building the Center for Preterm Infant Retinal Disorders in Dak Lak and Thanh Hoa provinces. Orbis is the leading non-governmental organization in the prevention and treatment of visual impairment problems. Since 1996, Orbis has been working with the Vietnamese eye industry through hospital programs. This is the 10th program of the Orbis Flying Hospital in Vietnam and the second in Hue.
