The event kicked off today in the coastal city of Nha Trang with the participation of nearly 200 domestic and foreign delegates. Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam was present at the conference.
Challenges to the social security system in ASEAN countries under the impact of Industry 4.0 were pointed out. The replacement of human workers by robots, both skilled and unskilled, is posing a big problem for the social security system of ASEAN countries, including Vietnam.
Within two days of the conference, participants will share the models and experiences of countries in coping with these challenges. This is an opportunity for Vietnam to develop a sustainable and effective social security system.
