One person in Hai Phong tests positive for SARS-CoV-2

The new case is a female nurse who receives patients at the Hai Phong Transportation Hospital. It's still unclear how she was infected. The patient's health condition is stable and she has not exhibited any symptoms.

She's being quarantined at Việt Tiệp Hospital in Hải Phòng and the city's department of health is currently tracing her contacts.

Lôi Động Hamlet where the patient lives and Hải Phòng City’s Hospital of Transport where she works have been locked down.

The hospital has stopped receiving patients and is making a list of medical workers, patients and their relatives for quarantine.

Eighty-seven medical workers who took part in the mass testing with the nurse tested negative.

As of 7am on Monday, authorised agencies have identified 12 people who were in close contact with the nurse.
