VTV.vn - The prevalence of underweight children has decreased from 30% in 2000 to 13% last year.

Significant progress has been achieved. However, the average height of Vietnamese adults is still the lowest in Asia. This is due to the lack of micronutrients in people's diets.

A school milk program is also being implemented to supplement children with micronutrients. Milk products are fortified with 14 essential vitamins and minerals to meet the growth progress of children. Vietnam needs to come up with a good nutrition strategy to improve the height of its people.
