North Vietnam welcomes new cold spell

VTV.vn - The North of Vietnam is preparing to welcome a cold spell, as temperatures are expected to decrease from 5 - 7 degrees Celsius, according to the Central Hydrometeorological Forecast Centre.

On February 21, the first working day following the Lunar New Year, the Northern provinces had little rain, though there was fog early in the morning and sunshine in the afternoon, with the highest temperature from 26 to 28 degrees Celsius, and over 31 degrees Celsius elsewhere.

On February 22, a new cold spell is expected from the north, with the temperature dropping 5 - 7 degrees Celsius, and becoming cold at night. Meanwhile, it will remain hot, with sunshine in the south and a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius.

Southeast winds were recorded at level 2 - 3, and humidity was 65 to 96 percent. The lowest temperature was 19 - 21 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature reached 24 - 26 degrees.

From the central province of Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue, it was cloudy with occasional rains, along with fog and scattered light fog in early morning, with light winds and humidity reaching 60 to 95 percent. The lowest temperature was 19 to 22 degrees, and highest temperature reached 24 to 27 degrees Celsius.

In the South, it was sunny during the day, with some rain at night. A northeast wind level of 2 - 3 was recorded, as well as moisture levels from 50 to 94 percent, with the lowest temperature of 23 - 26 degrees Celsius and high temperature of 31 - 34 degrees.
