No Vietnamese victims reported in Indonesia quake

VTV.vn - In natural disaster-related news, no Vietnamese victims have been reported so far in the recent 7.0-magnitude earthquake that hit the island of Lombok in Indonesia at 6:46PM on Sunday.

This is according to the Embassy of Vietnam in Indonesia. As of Tuesday, more than 90 people were reported to have lost their lives, with hundreds of others wounded. According to authorities, the number of casualties is likely to rise.

The Vietnamese embassy in Indonesia has said that they have yet to receive information regarding the presence of Vietnamese people on the island at the time of the earthquake.

The embassy has issued a notice asking all Vietnamese citizens in Lombok and West Nusa Tenggara to remain calm and to monitor subsequent notifications from local authorities.
