On the afternoon of May 26, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province held a working session with Vietnam Television (VTV) to discuss preparations for the upcoming event.
Those in attendance included Mr. Tong Quang Thin, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Local Organizing Committee, as well as Mr. Dinh Dac Vinh, Deputy General Director of VTV and Head of the Robocon Vietnam 2025 Organizing Committee. Representatives from VTV’s specialized departments and members of the local organizing team were also present.
As the host province, Ninh Binh has its facilities, security, media, and technical infrastructure to welcome this large-scale technology event organized by VTV. According to the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh, which leads the local preparations, all tasks are on schedule. The Provincial Sports Arena has been completed and meets the technical standards required for the competition. Ninh Binh Power Company and the Department of Science and Technology ensure a sufficient power supply and reliable Internet, and Wifi systems.
Relevant authorities are handling medical support, sanitation, public security, and logistical arrangements for the ceremonies. The Department of Health has provided emergency medical staff, equipment, and medicine to ensure safety, while the provincial police have developed detailed security plans for the event.
Publicity efforts have also been bolstered through mass media and electronic welcome gates, along with LED screens in Ninh Binh City and its surrounding areas, such as Hoa Lu and Tam Diep. The province is also collaborating with VTV to film local landmarks, which will be featured in accompanying documentaries on VTV2.
During the meeting, the parties discussed and finalized implementation plans for key items, including stage construction, guest reception, live broadcast logistics, local tech product exhibitions, and the “Robotics Connect” seminar.
Immediately after the meeting, representatives from VTV and other relevant units conducted an on-site inspection of the venue to ensure that all technical and organizational conditions were met.

Robocon Vietnam is an annual creative technology contest organized by VTV, attracting engineering students from across the nation. It offers a valuable platform for young talents to showcase their creativity, technological thinking, and hands-on robotics skills. More than just a competition, it is a space for learning, networking, and professional development — a launchpad for students to affirm their potential in the era of digital transformation and Industry 4.0.
This year's competition features 32 teams from universities, colleges, and vocational schools throughout Vietnam. One notable change for 2025 is the removal of regional qualifiers. From June 4 to 6, all teams will participate in a preliminary round from June 4 to 6 in Ninh Binh, performing three robot demonstrations based on the challenge scenario. These performances will be conducted in a standard arena without confrontation. Scores will be determined based on either the average or the highest score of the three rounds.
The final round, scheduled for June 8 to 13, will follow a knockout format. It will include a group stage, quarterfinals, semifinals, and the championship match to determine the Robocon Vietnam 2025 winner.
Hosting the event provides Ninh Binh with an opportunity not only to promote itself to both domestic and international audiences and to create a dynamic environment where young people can learn and exchange ideas . It helps nurture technical skills, foster innovation, and spread a culture of creativity within the community.
