Accordingly, Vinalines will transfer over 15 million shares, equivalent to 6.7 million USD to Khánh Hòa People’s Committee. After receiving the capital, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee will divest and relinquish all controlling shares. Nha Trang Port, then, will be developed to become a modern international tourism port, which receives not only international cruise ships, but also yatchs, following the goal to transform Nha Trang into a tourism city. It is hoped that Nha Trang port will receive at least 150,000 foreign tourists travelling by sea and 1 million domestic tourists visiting offshore islands. In the future, the development rate is expected to be 20% per year.
