The Executive Chef at the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, Nguyễn Công Chung was the first Vietnamese person to be named as Asia's Chef Hotelier of the Year at the Hotelier Awards 2017 which was recently held in Macau (China).
Chef Nguyễn Công Chung beat four other finalists to receive the award for his efforts in popularizing Vietnamese cuisine among our international friends and visitors.
In winning the award, Chef Chung has made an important mark for Vietnamese cuisine as he is the first Vietnamese person to be recognized at a prestigious international awards ceremony in the culinary field. This award will hopefully act as a bridge for Vietnamese cuisine to reach out to the world.
