The story begins when Mr. Phuong (People's Artist Hoang Dung) - director of a major publishing house retired. Leaving the office environment, Mr. Phuong became acquainted with his new life.

During his time at home, he noticed many changes with family troubles and daily problems with his neighbors.

"Mr. Phuong has two children, a son and a daughter and both are married. Every small family has its own problems but when Mr. Phuong had been in office; he had not paid attention. Until his retirement, he realized that his children's private lives also faced many difficulties and family conflicts," said director Trinh Le Phong.

In addition, Hoang Dung , the lead actor in the film, also shared about his role: "A film about family will go into the nook and cranny of family life. Besides the roles of "big boss" before, my starring as Mr. Phuong is very simple. This role is a bit like me, a retired director."
