New rural development project

The city's budget will use 1/3 of this funding to cover planning, transport, irrigation, education and health infrastructure in rural areas. Hanoi plans to upgrade 22 communes and 2 districts until they meet the standard requirements for modern rural development. Through this, the authorities plan to boost the average income for rural residents to around 38 million VND per year hence, improving their living standards.  Furthermore, the authorities aim to provide advanced training for 45-52% of all agricultural workers and better their environmental protection efforts.
