New planning strategies needed

On Wednesday morning, during his working session with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to implement tasks for 2017, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed that the government will not prohibit the construction of high-rises in areas around Giang Vo Street as well as in inner parts of Hanoi. But that local authorities must ensure the traffic infrastructure is developed to keep pace with demographic development. Also related to planning activities, the Prime Minister showed his disagreement with the fact that some ministries objected to the draft planning law proposed by the government to the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Tuesday. This draft law was previously sent to ministries to collect feedback.
