On the afternoon of June 10, "White Fire", a new drama produced by the Vietnam Television Film Center (VFC), was officially launched in Hanoi. The event was attended by representatives of the Drug Crime Investigation Department, members of the production team, the cast, and numerous journalists and media representatives.
As a contemporary political crime drama, “White Fire” explores the intense battle against drug trafficking in modern society. The series delves into the underground world of new forms of narcotics that infiltrate the lives of young people through parties, livestreams, entertainment culture, and the pursuit of fame. With its fast-paced narrative, complex characters, and high-stakes psychological confrontations, the drama is expected to offer a new take on Vietnam’s investigative television genre.

The story revolves around a new synthetic drug known as White Dust, which appears harmless at first but gradually reveals links to a sophisticated criminal organization. Investigators from C04 begin uncovering a multilayered trafficking network hidden behind seemingly legitimate fronts.
At the center of the story is Mai, a young woman from the fictional province of Son Hai whose troubled past draws her into the world of Lao Cong, a ruthless and deeply suspicious drug kingpin. Around her are characters such as Cuong “Den”, an ambitious subordinate with hidden motives , and Le Truong, the cold-blooded right-hand man of Lan, a mysterious and powerful female crime boss burdened by emotional scars.

Rather than presenting a simple conflict between heroes and villains, the series gives each character depth, motivations, and personal struggles. The criminals are not solely portrayed by their brutality. Those fighting on the side of justice must also confront their own moral and emotional challenges.
Viet Hoa and Duy Hung share great on-screen chemistry in the film.
Beyond its crime-investigation storyline, White Fire delves into themes of trust, betrayal, family bonds, love, and the consequences of personal choices. Through the story of White Dust, a drug marketed through promises of success, creativity, and transformation, the drama highlights how ambition, loneliness, and the desire for recognition can leave people vulnerable to dangerous manipulation.
