The closing ceremony was attended by Head of Party Central Committee Commission for Organisation Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Tourism Ministers of ASEAN countries, and nearly 1,000 local residents and visitors.
Over 100 activities and events were held as part of the National Tourism Year. Through these events, Quang Ninh welcomed 12.3 million visitors in 2018, including 5.2 million foreigners, and earned VND24 trillion in tourism revenue. At the closing ceremony, Minister Thien handed over the National Tourism Year 2019 mantle to Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa province.
