It is the culmination of a series of Techfest events held in Vietnam’s four key economic areas as well as in the United States and the Republic of Korea in the past few months.
MOST Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung said that Techfest Vietnam 2019 aims to promote connections and develop a sharing network between the start-up and innovation ecosystem of Vietnam and those of the region and the world.
The event will also provide updates on start-up and innovation trends and link investors with start-up businesses.
Techfest Vietnam 2019 is the largest annual event dedicated to the start-up and innovation community in Vietnam as part of a programme to support the national start-up and innovation ecosystem until 2025.
According to the organisers, the festival will see the participation of at least 250 potential start-up businesses, nearly 200 domestic and foreign investors, and 150 large enterprises and start-up support organisations.
A focus of Techfest Vietnam 2019 is advising policymakers on how to attract domestic and foreign resources for developing the start-up and innovation ecosystem while there will also be discussions on global technological trends.
The festival will also include a variety of other activities such as an artificial intelligence race called Deep Racer held by Amazon Web Services, an open innovation forum, and the final round of the national start-up talent contest.
