The event was organized by the Phú Yên Confederation of Labour and Border Guard Command. 1,000 Vietnamese flags and signs were given out. These flags are expected to encourage fishermen to contribute to protecting Vietnam’s sovereignty over its sea and islands. The flag is considered an indispensable item for their offshore fishing.
