This is the second time the awards have been organised, looking to encourage journalists to contribute to the external information service.
"The challenge of the external information service is that we must deliver information accurately and timely. Our audience is global, so we have to try hard to find creative ways to tell our stories. This is a challenge, but also a motivation for us to make our work better." - Le Hoang Linh, Reporter, VTV International (VTV4), Vietnam Television.
Outstanding works among the prize winning entries will be selected to be published in foreign languages for external information work. It was revealed at the event that the award next year will receive entries with a wider range of categories, so the event can welcome even more work.
