VTV.vn - During its working session on Monday, the National Assembly discussed improved scrutiny for 2017.

Current limitations in the quality of the assembly’s supervision were discussed and some solutions were proposed. Despite some improvements, many National Assembly deputies agreed that many problems and petitions raised by the public were not fully resolved.

"The conclusions reached during the process aren’t legally binding. Therefore the supervisory bodies can’t implement the conclusions effectively", Nguyen Si Cuong, NA Deputy in Ninh Thuan Province.

"There aren’t sufficient numbers of people involved in the scrutiny process to cover all the issues raised by the public. Therefore the National Assembly can’t fulfil its tasks", said Nguyen Ngoc Phuong, NA Deputy in Quang Binh Province.

"The National Assembly must take the lead in the supervisory process", said Nguyen Thai Hoc, NA Deputy in Phu Yen Province.

"If we don’t intensify the implementation of solutions after the supervisory process then it’s no point investigating such matters. So I think should also strictly watch the implementation of the National Assembly’s resolutions", said Nguyen Si Cuong, NA Deputy in Ninh Thuan Province.

In addition to the operations, the determination and effort of each deputy also plays an important role in improving the National Assembly’s scrutiny.
